Position Summary
As a Medical Billing and Insurance Verification Specialist, you will be an integral part of our administrative operations. You will collaborate with a team focused on ensuring the accuracy of patient information across multiple healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research to gather necessary information for the Insurance Verification process.
  • Prepare and submit appeals for denied insurance claims.
  • Analyze overpayments and initiate refund requests when applicable.
  • Engage with insurance providers to ensure timely processing and payment of claims.
  • Maintain accurate billing records, reports, and files.
  • Handle incoming calls, screen inquiries, take messages, and provide relevant billing information.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in all dealings.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A degree or certification in Medical Billing is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical Billing or Insurance Verification.
  • Proficient in EMR/EHR software.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in data entry.
  • Must be current on required immunizations.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Compensation: $23.00 per hour

Emerald Staffing provides weekly paychecks via direct deposit, and upon eligibility, we offer health insurance, accrued paid sick time, and a retirement savings option.
