Position Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of an Acquisition Program Coordinator to deliver procurement and advisory expertise in support of the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate. This role is a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct planning, research, analysis, and evaluation of system procurement concerning the development, production, and deployment of defense systems and related equipment.
  • Devise strategies and propose effective methods to achieve cost, schedule, and performance targets.
  • Assist in the creation of acquisition documentation, including mandatory and regulatory reports.
  • Facilitate program management reviews, high-level meetings, and Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule assessments.
  • Prepare and present various briefings and schedules regarding program status and acquisition initiatives to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in program or acquisition management, with at least 3 years in a Department of Defense (DoD) setting. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required. Proven experience within an Air Force program office is essential. Extensive knowledge of Acquisition and Advisory Services (A&AS) programs is necessary. Candidates must possess a thorough understanding of the principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management as outlined in relevant directives. Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative methods for evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of acquisition programs is crucial. The ability to assist program managers in monitoring program schedules and cost baselines, recommend practical solutions to challenges, and explore alternative strategies is expected. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for producing high-quality acquisition and program documentation, including briefings and reports. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to manage stakeholder expectations effectively. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold a current Secret clearance.
