Job Description

Job Title: Senior Acquisition Specialist

Job Summary:

Apogee Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our acquisition team, you will be responsible for supporting the Acquisition Program Manager in assessing program schedules and costs, staffs Defense Acquisition Executive Summaries, and provides program management and IMP/IMS reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Acquisition Program Manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines.
  • Staffs Defense Acquisition Executive Summaries (DAES), Monthly Activity Reports (MAR), and support program management and IMP/IMS reviews.
  • Oversees the allocation of resources based on program requirements.
  • Manages meetings, calendars, agendas, and briefings, including providing briefings of program status to senior management.
  • Determines requirements; develops goals and objectives to accomplish program missions.
  • Gather, analyze, and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition, sustainment, or modification programs utilizing knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Ability to understand various funding types, budgets, and understand the Central Asset Management (CAM) process.
  • Monitors, mentors, and develops lower-level (Senior, Journeyman) Acquisition Support Specialists and other contractor support personnel in accordance with Govt PMO leadership lines of effort, policy, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
  • Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Years of Experience: 12 years of experience with DoD acquisition programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred Certifications: DAWIA Advanced (formerly Level III) Equivalency in Program Management or Engineering & Technical Management.
  • Preferred Education and Experience: Master's degree in Business or related field.
