Astrion, Inc. is currently seeking a Logistics Acquisition Specialist to assist the USAF Force Protection Division (AFLCMC/HBU), which operates within the USAF Digital Directorate.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time; salaried
WORK LOCATION: Remote options available, with the requirement to access secure facilities as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver logistics and sustainment capabilities across various aspects of the Force Protection Division, focusing on providing technical logistics support to senior management.
- Contribute logistics and sustainment insights to acquisition documentation, including Statements of Objectives, Requests for Proposals, and Technical Requirements Documents.
- Engage actively in logistics discussions and meetings, both internally and externally, to the program office.
- Support government analyses, develop options, and provide recommendations with thorough technical justification.
- Oversee the logistics support performance of the Prime contractor, ensuring technical compliance.
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in DoD or Air Force acquisition programs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with the DoD's integrated product support structure.
- Proven leadership skills in managing complex projects.
- Understanding of agency program planning and management information systems.
- Must possess an active US security clearance.
