Position Overview

Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of a Program Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to facilitate the advancement of cutting-edge technology solutions tailored to the needs of the warfighter, specifically in the realms of electronic and cyber warfare for the USAF Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC). This role is a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct planning, research, analysis, and evaluation of system acquisition concerning the development, production, and deployment of weapon systems and related equipment.
  • Devise plans and propose effective strategies to achieve cost, schedule, and performance targets.
  • Assist in the preparation and development of acquisition reports, including those mandated by law and regulation.
  • Support program management reviews and senior-level meetings, including IMP/IMS evaluations.
  • Prepare and present various briefings and schedules regarding program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
  • Establish and implement processes within the division to ensure efficient review, coordination, and approval of all division tasks and documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum of 20 years of experience in a program integration and management capacity, with substantial experience overseeing acquisition and engineering initiatives for the Federal government. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's or advanced degree is preferred. Extensive interaction with PEO Staff, Air Force, and/or DoD Headquarters Staff is highly desirable. Previous experience on Air Force Headquarters Staff, particularly at SAF/AQ or PEO Staff, is preferred. Direct experience with acquisition reporting mechanisms, including DAES, MAR, SAR, and GAO audits, is essential. Experience in program or financial management is advantageous. A comprehensive understanding of the principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management is required, along with knowledge of the roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force. Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative techniques for evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of acquisition programs is necessary. Ability to assist program managers in assessing program adherence to schedule and cost baselines, recommend viable solutions, and explore alternative actions is critical. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for producing high-quality acquisition and program documentation. Proven ability to delegate and manage multiple personnel to fulfill the outlined responsibilities is required. Candidates must possess advanced knowledge and recognized expertise in their technical or professional field, with the capability to perform tasks and oversee junior and mid-level personnel effectively. A U.S. citizenship and a current Secret clearance are mandatory.
