Position Overview
Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of a Program Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge technology solutions tailored to meet the operational requirements of the warfighter, specifically in the realms of electronic and cyber warfare for the USAF Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC). This role is a full-time opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planning, research, analysis, and evaluation of system acquisition concerning the development, production, and deployment of weapon systems and related equipment.
- Develop strategic plans and propose effective methodologies to achieve cost, schedule, and performance targets.
- Assist in the preparation and development of acquisition documentation, including mandatory regulatory reports.
- Facilitate program management reviews and senior-level meetings, including Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) evaluations.
- Provide support in the creation and presentation of various briefings and schedules regarding program status and acquisition tasks to senior leadership.
- Establish and implement departmental processes to ensure efficient review, coordination, and approval of all departmental tasks, briefings, acquisition documentation, and reporting.
Qualifications
Minimum of 20 years of experience in program integration and management, with substantial experience overseeing acquisition and engineering initiatives for the Federal government. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's or advanced degree is preferred. Extensive interaction with Program Executive Office (PEO) staff, Air Force, and/or Department of Defense (DoD) Headquarters staff is highly valued. Experience on Air Force Headquarters staff, particularly at SAF/AQ or PEO staff, is desirable. Direct experience with acquisition reporting processes, including DAES, MAR, Selective Acquisition Review (SAR), and GAO audits is essential. Familiarity with program or financial management is preferred. A comprehensive understanding of systems acquisition principles, policies, and practices, as outlined in DoDI, along with knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force, is necessary. Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative techniques for assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of acquisition programs is required. The ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, producing high-quality acquisition and program documentation, is crucial. Strong delegation and management skills to oversee multiple individuals in fulfilling the responsibilities outlined above are essential. Candidates must possess advanced knowledge and recognized expertise in their technical or professional field, demonstrating the ability to perform tasks and supervise junior and mid-level personnel within the discipline. A U.S. citizenship and a current Secret clearance are mandatory.
