Docketing and Calendaring Coordinator

Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Managing Clerk, the Litigation Support Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the firm's permanent litigation docket and calendar diary. The successful candidate will assist the Managing Clerk with litigation docketing-related work, including:
- Completing all assigned docketing and calendaring work in a timely and accurate manner
- Having a basic understanding of the firm's docketing/calendaring system, CourtAlert and/or CompuLaw, and being able to run standard reports
- Reviewing litigation documents for relevant dates and effectively using the docketing and calendaring system to index court documents and enter applicable dates
- Collecting, maintaining, and updating needed information on attorneys, such as bar admissions and e-filing passwords
- Contributing to knowledge management-related initiatives as they pertain to litigation case files, docketing, records management, and other similar areas of function within the litigation department
- Assisting the Managing Clerk with electronic case filing in CM/ECF, as well as courthouse hard copy filings and document retrieval
- Assisting the Managing Clerk with searching and extracting information from court-related databases, websites, and relevant docketing and calendaring applications
- Complying with department and firm administrative procedures and policies
- Assisting with department projects as needed and performing other work-related duties as assigned by the Managing Clerk
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and prior experience in the Managing Attorney/Clerk's Office at a large law firm. The position requires strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, and a team player.
Compensation and BenefitsRopes & Gray LLP offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package to its business support team members, including comprehensive health and well-being benefits, personal and professional development opportunities, career growth opportunities, and a collegial and supportive culture. The anticipated pay range for this role is $56,000 - $78,000 in Boston, which represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
Working ConditionsThis position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development, and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
