Compensation: The salary range for this role is $84,000 - $145,000 annually. Pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on both company and individual performance.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Construction Service Consultant responsible for providing technical consultation and evaluation across multiple states. You will assist underwriting in selecting new and renewal construction commercial multi-line insurance, including Workers Compensation, Property, General Liability, and Auto. Your expertise in construction and casualty will be vital in delivering risk management and loss control consultation services to our clients, aiming to minimize both actual and potential loss exposure.

This role entails managing loss control services and related activities for a segment of large, complex, and/or key commercial accounts. While this is a remote position, periodic travel for business and client meetings will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate service plans for key and complex accounts.
  • Manage policyholder loss control services for significant accounts.
  • Conduct corporate-level risk evaluations and reports for underwriting.
  • Formulate and implement loss reduction and risk mitigation strategies for policyholders.
  • Provide regular updates to policyholder risk management associates regarding program implementation and progress.
  • Oversee management of key accounts and coordinate all loss control requests/inquiries for Key Accounts Underwriting.
  • Foster strong relationships with key accounts.
  • Ensure timely coordination of risk evaluations for key prospects and policyholders.
  • Regularly update underwriting management on account status and service plan progress.
  • Customize and uniformly deliver loss control service plans.
  • Maintain positive relationships with local independent agency partners and their clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with Key Account division management, underwriters, loss control specialists, and associates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with field sales management and territory representatives.
  • Ensure detailed reports provide a clear risk assessment and appropriate recommendations.
  • Update territory loss control, field sales, and underwriting associates on service status for key accounts.
  • Inform agency personnel on service status for their clients.
  • Review key account claims and loss trends to initiate loss mitigation efforts.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of loss control experience within a property & casualty insurance organization.
  • Proven experience managing services for large and complex accounts, including developing service instructions and action plans.
  • Experience conducting corporate-level risk management assessments and evaluations.
  • Solid understanding of the independent agency system.
  • Ability to work remotely with flexibility to travel (approximately 25%).
  • Knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and coverages.
  • Expertise in hazard recognition and control for Workers Compensation, Property, Fleet, General Liability, and Products Liability.
  • Capability to develop and conduct training programs for large organizations with multiple locations.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and strong interpersonal, consultative, and organizational skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or applicable science, or related experience and training.
  • Professional designations such as CSP, CPCU, or ARM are advantageous.
