Compensation

The salary range for this role is $84,000 - $145,000 annually. Salary determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Role Overview

We are in search of a Construction Service Consultant responsible for service management across multiple states. You will offer technical consultation and assessment to underwriting to aid in the selection of new and renewal construction commercial multi-line insurance, including Workers Compensation, Property, General Liability, and Auto. Your expertise in construction and casualty will be essential in providing risk management and loss control consultation services to our clients, aiming to minimize actual and potential loss exposure. You will also deliver ongoing technical support to ensure compliance with regulations and develop programs to address identified risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate service strategies for key and complex accounts.
  • Manage loss control services for significant accounts.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations and reports for underwriting.
  • Formulate and implement loss reduction and risk mitigation strategies for clients.
  • Provide regular updates to policyholder risk management teams on program execution and progress.
  • Oversee management of key accounts and coordinate all loss control inquiries.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
  • Ensure timely coordination of risk evaluations for key prospects and clients.
  • Update underwriting management on account status and service plan advancements.
  • Ensure loss control service plans are tailored and delivered consistently.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with local independent agency partners and their clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with Key Account division management, underwriters, and loss control specialists.
  • Deliver technically detailed reports that provide clear risk assessments and actionable recommendations.
  • Keep territory loss control, field sales, and underwriting teams informed on service status for key accounts.
  • Review claims and loss trends for key accounts to initiate loss mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • 8-10 years of loss control experience within a property and casualty insurance organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing services for large and complex accounts, including developing service instructions and conducting mid-year reviews.
  • Proven ability to conduct corporate-level risk assessments and evaluations.
  • Strong understanding of the independent agency system.
  • Ability to work remotely with flexibility for travel (approximately 25%).
  • Knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and coverages.
  • Expertise in hazard recognition and control for various insurance types.
  • Capability to develop and deliver training programs for large organizations.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.

Educational Background:

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, applicable science, or related experience and training.
  • Professional designations such as CSP, CPCU, or ARM are preferred.
