Position Overview: Zurich North America is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Performance Management Consultant for our Crop Business Unit. This pivotal role is tasked with enhancing and scrutinizing the financial outcomes for the Crop sector. The consultant will offer strategic insights and advice to leadership and stakeholders, facilitating analysis, reporting, planning, and forecasting to aid in the formulation and execution of the financial strategy.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Head of Crop Finance, with a preference for candidates based in our Anoka, MN or Schaumburg, IL offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of financial plans and forecasts for the Crop Business Unit, collaborating with leaders across the organization.
  • Examine significant industry trends and drivers, presenting analytical findings to senior management.
  • Establish performance management frameworks and implement measurement standards across various functions.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and expert in financial modeling for critical Crop initiatives.

Qualifications:

For Consultant I:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, or
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or
  • Completion of Zurich Finance Development Program with a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience, or
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, and
  • Proficiency in planning/forecasting models and tools such as Power BI.

For Consultant II:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, or
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 6 years of experience, and
  • Expertise in planning/forecasting models and visualization tools like Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in Crop.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CPCU, CFA, or CTP.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
