Job Overview

Position Title: General Manager

Reports To: Director of Operations

Supervises: FOH Management Team

We are seeking a dynamic leader who embodies our brand ethos while steering the management team to deliver exceptional cuisine and outstanding service. The ideal candidate will possess meticulous attention to detail, excellent delegation abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations. A positive demeanor and a proactive approach are essential.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in multitasking
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Innate sense of hospitality
  • Minimum of 3 years in progressive management roles
  • Ability to effectively manage food and labor costs
  • Familiarity with POS systems and third-party delivery services
  • Extensive knowledge of wines, beers, and cocktails
  • Professional communication skills
  • Experience in a high-volume dining environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate compliant with local regulations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all patrons receive warm and welcoming service, with the team consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Continuously develop both hourly and management staff in all aspects of professional growth.
  • Make hiring and termination decisions in line with the Director of Operations' approval guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer fair and consistent corrective actions for policy violations.
  • Ensure management conducts effective pre-shift meetings.
  • Organize and lead regular leadership meetings with a structured agenda.
  • Manage and coordinate menus and operational hours across all delivery platforms.
  • Set standards for safe work practices and ensure compliance with health regulations, including preparation for inspections.
  • Drive sales growth through effective execution of initiatives.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication, responding promptly to inquiries.
  • Oversee cash handling and accounts payable processes to ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Manage labor resources to meet business needs while achieving weekly labor targets.
  • Act as a mentor to newer leadership team members.
  • Availability to work 3-4 closing shifts per week, particularly Thursday through Sunday, with the ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
