Santi, a premier dining establishment led by the acclaimed chef Michael White, is seeking a dedicated Floor Manager to enhance our guests' dining experience. Located in a vibrant area, Santi offers a unique blend of seasonal Italian cuisine inspired by the chef's extensive culinary journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management and front-of-house staff to elevate service operations and ensure a memorable guest experience.
  • Oversee daily floor activities, managing guest flow, table assignments, and service timing to maximize efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor front-of-house personnel, fostering a knowledgeable and motivated team committed to excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new front-of-house team members.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, especially during peak service times.
  • Manage the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.

Compensation and Benefits:

Position Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a fine dining restaurant in a managerial capacity or similar role.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Restaurant Management Certification or a degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management and team development.
  • Familiarity with various technology systems, including Microsoft Office, POS platforms, and reservation management tools.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
  • Possession of a NYC Food Protection Certificate.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

  • Flexibility to adapt to job demands and complete various tasks as needed.
  • Ability to operate necessary restaurant equipment.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and manage stress effectively.
  • Physical ability to handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work varied hours and days based on business needs.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours daily.
