Job Overview

Position Title: General Manager

Reports To: Director of Operations

Supervises: FOH Management Team

We are seeking a dynamic leader who can embody our brand while guiding the management team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences and outstanding service. The ideal candidate will possess meticulous attention to detail, robust delegation capabilities, and the ability to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations. A positive attitude and a proactive approach are essential.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in multitasking
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Innate sense of hospitality
  • Minimum of 3 years in progressive management roles
  • Competence in managing food and labor costs
  • Familiarity with POS systems and third-party delivery services
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wines, beers, and cocktails
  • Effective and professional communication skills
  • Experience in a high-volume dining environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate in accordance with local regulations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all patrons receive warm and welcoming service, consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Focus on the development of both hourly and management staff in all areas of professional growth.
  • Make hiring and termination decisions in line with the Director of Operations' approval guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of restaurant policies and administer fair and consistent corrective actions for policy violations.
  • Lead effective pre-shift meetings with management.
  • Organize and conduct regular leadership meetings while maintaining an agenda.
  • Manage and coordinate menus and operational hours across all delivery platforms.
  • Establish standards for safe work practices and ensure compliance with health regulations, including preparation for inspections.
  • Drive sales growth through effective execution of initiatives.
  • Maintain clear communication with prompt responses to all forms of correspondence.
  • Oversee cash handling and accounts payable to ensure adherence to company policies, including petty cash management and payroll processing.
  • Manage labor effectively to meet business needs while adhering to weekly labor targets.
  • Act as a mentor to newer leadership team members.
  • Availability to work 3-4 closing shifts per week, primarily Thursday through Sunday, with the ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
