The estimated annual salary for this position is $64,000 - $80,000, depending on experience.

About the Role

As a Lead Fleet Diesel Mechanic, you'll be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of diesel equipment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient operation of our vehicles, adhering to all relevant regulations, and implementing effective preventative maintenance practices.

You'll work closely with other maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support as needed. Your strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities will enable you to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, and lift gates.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to extend the lifespan of our vehicles.
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and achieve team goals.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial diesel mechanic or reefer technician.
  • Strong knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations related to vehicle maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly.
