Fleet Maintenance Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our team as a Fleet Maintenance Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of fleet road equipment, including trucks and trailers, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, with experience in troubleshooting and documenting repairs, conducting preventative maintenance, and providing roadside assistance as needed.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and other vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
- Document all repair orders and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Provide roadside assistance and perform road rescue duties as needed
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience
- OR 2 years of diesel mechanic experience with TK or refrigeration certification
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs
- Successful demonstration of independent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in administering appropriate PM programs
Our competitive salary is $26.00 per hour, plus benefits starting day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and more. New hires are eligible for a $5,000 retention bonus.
Schedule:The position requires working Sunday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with occasional overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:The job requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 120-150 pounds (with assistance), as well as occasional pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, and twisting.
