Position Overview:

The Enterprise Risk Consultant II acts as a vital link in the enterprise risk management framework, providing expert guidance and strategic insights to ensure that risks are effectively identified and managed. This role is essential in developing risk mitigation strategies and establishing robust reporting mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the alignment of leadership's risk strategy with actionable processes, driving implementation to enhance business performance through informed risk-taking.
  • Foster strategic relationships across the three lines of defense, supporting Lines of Business (LOBs) in taking calculated risks while maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework for auditors and oversight functions.
  • Organize and lead risk and control identification sessions with senior leadership and staff within assigned LOBs.
  • Maintain a detailed inventory of risks and controls for assigned LOB Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs).
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Operations Analysts to create and distribute risk management reports and dashboards, ensuring high standards of data quality and accuracy.
  • Engage with external regulators and internal auditors as a subject matter expert on the organization's internal controls framework.
  • Monitor the timely execution of remediation efforts by assigned LOBs when processes and controls are found to be non-compliant with established internal control frameworks.
  • Serve as a primary advocate and resource for the organization regarding Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) policies and procedures, providing necessary training and support to enhance awareness and understanding of enterprise risk.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in the financial services sector with a focus on Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, or business process management with accountability for compliance and operational risk.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include Operational Risk Management Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), and Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
