Position Overview:

The Enterprise Risk Consultant II acts as a pivotal liaison in enterprise risk management, providing strategic insights, guidance, and essential contributions to ensure comprehensive understanding of risks, development of mitigation strategies, and establishment of effective reporting systems. This role serves as an independent challenge function for operational risk, dealing with varying complexities across different Lines of Business that require advanced analytical and interpretive skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the alignment of leadership risk strategies with actionable processes, driving implementation that enhances business outcomes through informed risk-taking.
  • Establish and nurture strategic relationships among the three lines of defense, ensuring that Lines of Business can undertake calculated risks while adhering to a documented risk management framework.
  • Plan and execute risk and control identification sessions with senior leadership and staff within assigned Lines of Business.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of risks and controls for assigned Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs).
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Operations Analysts to develop and disseminate risk management reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and precision.
  • Engage effectively with external regulators and internal auditors, serving as a subject matter expert on the internal controls framework.
  • Monitor the timely execution of remediation actions by assigned Lines of Business when processes and controls are found to be non-compliant with established frameworks.
  • Act as a primary advocate and resource for the organization regarding Enterprise Risk Management policies and procedures, assisting in the development of training and support for stakeholders to enhance awareness and understanding of enterprise risk.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in the financial services sector with a focus on Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, or business process management with accountability for compliance and operational risk.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include Operational Risk Management Certification, PMP, PMI-RMP, CCSA, CRMA.
