Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional Director of Store Operations to join our team at Dollar Tree. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our regional stores, driving sales growth, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Plan, control, and direct the activities of regional operations with full profit and loss responsibility, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and policies.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide guidance and support to district management on staff development, operational excellence, and profitability, as well as manage and develop District Support, District Managers, and Area Operations Managers for future growth.
  • Performance Management: Monitor, assess, and evaluate regional performance through sales, operating cost, inventory, shrink, trend, and other data analysis, and provide advice and counsel to district support, district managers, and area operations managers on appropriate action plans and activities to meet operational and financial goals.
  • Financial Management: Manage operations budget through supervision and guidance of district managers and area operations managers, review and interpret financial and operational information as appropriate, and coordinate periodic financial and/or operational analyses and prepare financial/business reports for Store Operations on a regular basis.
  • Strategic Planning: Facilitate new store development process by working with real estate, construction, and other functional departments to ensure all operational commitments are fulfilled, and represent regional concerns and issues to senior management across functions throughout the Family Dollar organization.
  • Human Resources: Ensure appropriate staffing levels for current and projected needs through use of established programs and development of direct reports through succession planning process and tools, provide training, development, and performance management for direct reports, and follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of high school or equivalent; college preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of multi-store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
  • Skills: Ability to drive sales within region of coverage, training and development of team, improvement of shrink within region, and ability to improve turnover.
