The company is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer (Senior Project Engineer - Systems Engineering - Acquisition and Systems Engineering) to join the Space Warfighting Directorate. This role involves providing technical expertise on ground systems, satellite operations, space capabilities, command and control, and battle management to support the operational readiness of United States Space Force tactical forces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and resolving programmatic, technical, and mission assurance challenges
  • Developing innovative solutions for Data Transmit and Receive Network capabilities
  • Collaborating in technical working groups and providing recommendations to government leadership
  • Assessing system design, process integrity, and schedule confidence for missions with rapid acquisition timelines
  • Supporting Space Force Generation activities to assess combat forces readiness
  • Engaging in architecture, strategy, and systems engineering projects with mixed teams
  • Providing ground and space system engineering support
  • Offering technical counsel on ground and space systems to government entities
  • Delivering high-quality technical products efficiently
  • Exemplifying objectivity and integrity when serving as a trusted advisor

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field
  • Minimum of twelve years of relevant engineering experience supporting National Security Space missions
  • Experience with space tactical mission operations and command and control
  • Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with government system acquisition lifecycle
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Current and active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to travel domestically, with occasional international travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of ground system architectures, satellite communications, software development, and cybersecurity
  • Experience with operational antennas, networks, datacenters, and communications
  • Knowledge of command and control system technologies and acquisition processes
  • Previous work with Joint Staff, USSPACECOM, NRO, and other relevant entities
  • Current applicable Special Access Program accesses
