Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated Audiovisual Support Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in addressing AV-related support requests from users engaged in a dynamic Government program, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and provide technical support for AV hardware, software, and systems.
  • Investigate and resolve user-reported AV software and hardware issues using available resources.
  • Identify the root cause of issues, whether hardware, software, or system-related.
  • Assist users by leveraging knowledge of AV systems, software, and procedures.
  • Document all support interactions, including symptoms, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of AV equipment and assets.
  • Develop and update user training materials and conduct training sessions as necessary.
  • Advise management on necessary AV technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal AV performance.
  • Collaborate with software developers to communicate software issues and recommend improvements.
  • Engage with vendors for service requests related to defective AV products.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff for the shipping and receiving of AV devices.
  • Install software and configure AV devices, ensuring readiness for user deployment.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including purchase orders and expense reports.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess an associate's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Accounting, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Crestron and BiAmp configurations.
  • Familiarity with NVX technology is advantageous but not essential.
  • CTS-D certification is a plus.
  • Security+ certification is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong customer service and technical skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
