Job Overview

Summit K-12 Holdings Inc. is a rapidly expanding educational publisher specializing in online curriculum for PreK-12, with a broad distribution network across the United States. We are currently seeking a Lead Salesforce Systems Administrator to play a pivotal role in supporting our expanding team.

The Lead Salesforce Systems Administrator will serve as the principal administrator and product owner for our Salesforce platform, reporting directly to the CFO. This position will be responsible for guiding and managing all development and maintenance initiatives, collaborating closely with the Business Operations team and external partners.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the product owner for both the Sales Cloud and Service Cloud platforms.
  • Engage in cross-departmental collaboration with internal stakeholders to establish a platform roadmap, prioritize tasks, and achieve roadmap objectives.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, technical translation, solution design, and feature development in alignment with current and future business needs.
  • Oversee sandbox environment management and feature release processes.
  • Communicate platform modifications to end users and stakeholders, including the preparation of release notes and technical documentation.
  • Work in partnership with the Business Operations team, IT, and other stakeholders to manage integrated applications and installed packages.
  • Implement data management strategies to enhance Salesforce data quality, establishing rules and automation as necessary.
  • Manage user and license administration, including the setup and deactivation of new users, roles, profiles, permissions, groups, and sharing rules.
  • Execute configuration changes, which may include dashboards, workflows, assignment rules, approval processes, custom objects and fields, page layouts, apps, actions, and custom settings.
  • Perform proactive system maintenance, including security reviews, release updates, health checks, feature readiness assessments, and optimizations.
  • Oversee user support and bug ticket management, including triage, prioritization, timeline management, troubleshooting, and solution design.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Salesforce administration or solutions architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior product ownership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce integrations (e.g., HubSpot, Zendesk, Slack) and ERP systems such as NetSuite.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is preferred; a degree in business, economics, computer science, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, SOQL, HTML, JavaScript, Excel, and API integrations is highly desirable.
  • Experience with configuration changes, including dashboards, workflows, assignment rules, approval processes, custom objects and fields, page layouts, apps, actions, and custom settings.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing Salesforce platforms in lean and growing organizations.
