Position Overview:

NORD Drivesystems is seeking a Regional Sales Leader to enhance our Midwest Sales Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and refine sales territory strategies while establishing sales targets and objectives.
  • Deliver engaging sales presentations to both prospective and current clients.
  • Identify customer needs and expectations to propose suitable products.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in line with established protocols.
  • Generate and relay quotations to clients.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Management to devise effective customer communication strategies.
  • Address customer inquiries to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on product developments and industry trends through participation in sales meetings, training sessions, and literature review.
  • Timely preparation and submission of sales, call, and expense reports as required.
  • Provide demonstrations and guidance on product installation, usage, and maintenance.
  • Document and communicate the benefits and cost savings for clients.
  • Relay customer feedback to management as necessary.
  • Assist in expediting customer orders when needed.
  • Evaluate sales potential for both new and existing clients through research and observation.
  • Follow up on potential sales opportunities.
  • Analyze customer strengths and weaknesses to assess sales potential.
  • Examine competitor strategies to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Monitor market trends and inform management of potential new product opportunities.
  • Familiarize oneself with company policies and business practices.
  • Uphold honesty and integrity in all customer and vendor interactions.
  • Understand sales terms and conditions, including liability and responsibility.
  • Engage professionally with team members.
  • Promote the company's commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Utilize personal computers, smartphones, and standard office equipment effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Actively participate in the company's initiatives for suggestions, quality, efficiency, and cost savings.
Qualifications:

  1. Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or a related field is preferred. Technical education is essential.
  2. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Outside Sales or 3-5 years in Inside Sales.
  3. Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning abilities. Experience with Electronic Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) or Automation Controls is advantageous. Previous experience in the gearing and reducer sector is preferred.
  4. Physical Requirements: Must possess the ability to travel without restrictions.
