About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Web3 Communications Strategist to lead our media relations efforts and drive strategic communications initiatives for Aptos.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Execute a Comprehensive Communications Strategy: Design and implement a communications plan that aligns with Aptos' business objectives and enhances our reputation in the web3 ecosystem.
  2. Media Relations and Outreach: Establish and maintain relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and thought leaders in the blockchain and technology sectors.
  3. Content Creation and Distribution: Craft compelling press releases, media pitches, and presentations to showcase Aptos' technology, partnerships, and milestones.
  4. Media Monitoring and Analysis: Track media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and challenges for media engagement.
  5. Crisis Communications and Media Inquiries: Manage crisis communications and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Event Planning and Coordination: Organize and coordinate media briefings, interviews, and other events to promote Aptos' brand and expertise.
  7. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the marketing and leadership teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and stakeholders.
  8. Performance Measurement and Reporting: Measure and report on the effectiveness of communications campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in web3 communications, media relations, or public relations, preferably in the blockchain, technology, or fintech sectors.
  3. Strong network of media contacts and a proven track record of securing coverage in top-tier outlets.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex blockchain concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision-making.
