Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a robust media relations strategy that supports our organizational objectives.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and various media outlets, including journalists, bloggers, and influencers within the blockchain and technology industries.
  • Compose engaging press releases, media pitches, and presentations to highlight our technological advancements, partnerships, and significant achievements.
  • Track media coverage and industry developments to pinpoint opportunities and potential challenges for media interaction.
  • Oversee crisis communication and address media inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Plan and facilitate media briefings and interviews.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and leadership teams to maintain consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Evaluate and report on the success of media relations initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in web3 is essential.
  • 7-10 years of experience in media relations or public relations, ideally within the blockchain, technology, or fintech sectors.
  • A strong network of media contacts and a demonstrated history of securing coverage in prominent outlets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to articulate complex blockchain concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to leverage data for informed decision-making.

The salary range for this full-time role is between $135k and $175k. This range reflects the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries for the position based in the Bay Area, considering various levels of experience. Our compensation structure is influenced by experience and location, and we consider candidates at all levels for various roles. Individual pay is determined by work location, demonstrated job-related skills during interviews, relevant experience, and educational background. Please note that the compensation details mentioned pertain solely to base salary and do not encompass equity, tokens, or benefits.
