Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Media Relations Lead who is enthusiastic about the evolving landscape of web3. This role involves spearheading media relations efforts, ensuring comprehensive media and content coverage across key messaging areas for Aptos and its ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a detailed media relations strategy that aligns with the overarching goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and the media, including journalists, bloggers, and influencers within the blockchain and technology domains.
  • Compose engaging press releases, media pitches, and presentations to highlight our technological advancements, partnerships, and significant achievements.
  • Track media coverage and industry developments to pinpoint opportunities and challenges for media interaction.
  • Oversee crisis communication and address media inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate and manage media briefings and interviews.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and leadership teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.
  • Evaluate and report on the success of media relations initiatives and refine strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Required knowledge and experience in web3
  • 7-10 years of experience in media relations or public relations, ideally within the blockchain, technology, or fintech sectors.
  • Established network of media contacts and a proven history of securing coverage in leading outlets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to articulate complex blockchain concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to leverage data for informed decision-making.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $135k-175k. The range displayed reflects the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Compensation details listed in role postings represent the base salary only and do not include equity, tokens, or benefits.
