Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a detailed media relations plan that supports our organizational objectives.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and various media outlets, including journalists, bloggers, and influencers within the blockchain and technology domains.
  • Compose engaging press releases, media pitches, and presentations to highlight our technological advancements, partnerships, and significant achievements.
  • Track media coverage and industry developments to uncover opportunities and address challenges in media engagement.
  • Handle crisis communication and address media inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate and facilitate media briefings and interviews.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and leadership teams to maintain consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Evaluate and report on the success of media relations initiatives and refine strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in web3 is essential.
  • 7-10 years of experience in media relations or public relations, ideally within the blockchain, technology, or fintech industries.
  • A robust network of media contacts and a demonstrated history of securing coverage in leading publications.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for simplifying complex blockchain concepts.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.

The salary range for this full-time role is $135k-175k, reflecting the typical minimum and maximum target for new hires based in the Bay Area. Compensation is determined by experience, location, and relevant qualifications.
