Position Overview

We are in search of a Director of Finance to lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting efforts across the organization. This role will spearhead essential financial and operational initiatives and collaborate across departments to enhance Aptos's planning processes in a rapidly evolving landscape. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will have a robust understanding of Corporate Finance principles and exceptional communication abilities. This prominent position will engage with the leadership team and drive projects related to budget development, forecasting cycles, multi-year planning, comprehensive P&L management, annual operating plans, and financial performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recurring financial planning and analysis processes, including forecasting and internal reporting.
  • Analyze financial results and business KPIs to provide insights and identify risks and opportunities for leadership.
  • Identify and communicate business issues with potential financial implications to the relevant corporate functions.
  • Conduct financial statement analysis and compare P&L against operating plans and forecasts.
  • Develop and monitor financial forecasts while ensuring adherence to financial commitments.
  • Present financial reports to executives, board members, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with management on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including the annual and long-range plans.
  • Work with accounting to prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Engage with senior management and business partners to assess financial results and provide operational guidance.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the accuracy and clarity of financial and operational data.
  • Design and implement financial infrastructure to support business growth and operations.
  • Partner with Accounting to identify suitable ERP and Financial Planning tools.
  • Manage treasury operations, ensuring effective cash and token forecasting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in finance, accounting, and treasury management.
  • Experience in SaaS/startup environments is essential.
  • Background in Crypto/Web3 is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Excellent report writing and business correspondence skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
