This position is a key member of the retail leadership team, responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of store activities. The Retail Operations Lead will guide and inspire team members to achieve outstanding performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain various operational reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Support the evaluation and upkeep of inventory management processes.
  • Assist with vendor procurement and invoice assessments.
  • Manage merchandise ordering, cleaning, and rotation.
  • Engage with vendors during check-in meetings.
  • Price and organize merchandise, creating attractive displays.
  • Become proficient in daily data entry and collection systems.
  • Process invoices, manage pricing adjustments, and oversee mark-ups and mark-downs.
  • Facilitate training and motivation of store personnel on various operational aspects.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and assist customers as needed.
  • Perform cashier and attendant responsibilities.
  • Help maintain the store's appearance and cleanliness.
  • Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Operate cash registers for customer transactions.
  • Account for all cash, cigarettes, and lottery tickets during shifts.
  • Assist in food preparation if applicable.
  • Conduct light janitorial tasks, including waste disposal and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in cash handling is essential.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills are required.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.

Physical Requirements

  • Availability to work during specified hours.
  • Ability to stand or walk for the entire shift.
  • Regularly lift and move items weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures in different work areas.
  • Work with cleaning products and solvents.
  • Daily exposure to fuel and oil products.
