Business Development Director

Boar's Head Brand is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our prepared foods business. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth and expansion of our branded prepared food offerings across multiple retail formats and banners.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a comprehensive prepared food strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new prepared food concepts to life, from concept to commercialization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including retailers and foodservice providers.
- Manage a team of professionals responsible for sales support, marketing development, training, and internal/external relationships.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and innovation.
- Minimum 10 years of combined retail prepared foods category management and product development experience.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving business growth.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Culinary degree or background.
- Experience working with product development chefs and strong professional standards.
- Understanding of premium brand attributes related to prepared foods and foodservice.
This position is primarily an office position with some kitchen environment activity and occasional travel.
