Job Summary

As a key member of the HD Supply team, the Renovation Sales Representative will be responsible for driving business growth within their assigned territory. This role requires a strong ability to establish and expand relationships with owners and contractors, as well as a keen eye for identifying key barriers and applying problem-solving skills to overcome complex situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive business growth within territory through existing and incremental customers.
  • Establish and expand relationships with owners and contractors.
  • Central point of contact for all territory renovation projects, including project management, due diligence, product sourcing, selection, and request for product (RFP)/Quoting.
  • Partner with credit to identify funding and ownership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Nature and Scope
  • Identify key barriers/core problems and apply problem-solving skills to deal creatively with complex situations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems, making decisions under conditions of uncertainty with incomplete information.
  • Independently perform assignments with instruction limited to expected results, determining and developing an approach to solutions.
  • May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.
Work Environment
  • Typically located in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
  • Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Education and Experience
  • Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline, with 5-8 years of experience in a related field, or an MS/MA and 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
