We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst II to become an integral part of our team. This role provides a unique opportunity to act as a strategic partner within our operations and gain insights into the energy sector.

As a Financial Analyst II, you will collaborate with various internal stakeholders, delivering exceptional support to help achieve our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and adjustment of financial models to produce long-term forecasts or analyses under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Analyze financial data and trends, comparing forecasts with actual outcomes.
  • Communicate financial insights effectively, both verbally and in writing, to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Engage in business planning and analytical support, including economic scenario assessments, performance benchmarking, and risk evaluations.
  • Work proactively with clients to offer financial consulting aimed at achieving business objectives.
  • Identify innovative solutions to address challenges and improve processes.
  • Adapt to changes within the workplace and contribute to operational enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Support the development of rate review documentation as needed.
  • Participate in additional tasks that align with Alliant Energy's core values and mission.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience. (An MBA or professional certifications may substitute for part of this experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with tools such as PowerBI, Snowflake, and ERP systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of financial modeling and planning.
  • Familiarity with common financial software applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse work environment.
