Position Overview
As a vital member of the VF Corporation Accounting team, the Finance Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing and enhancing the retail accounting and sales audit processes.

This role is essential in delivering financial insights to management through thorough research and analysis of accounting data, while also collaborating with various internal stakeholders to promote best practices.

Key Responsibilities
1. Achieve financial targets by managing the monthly and year-end closing processes for sales audits, including variance analysis, system error investigations, and account reconciliation approvals, while proposing corrective measures to relevant business partners.
2. Establish and uphold accounting controls by developing and recommending policies and procedures, identifying opportunities for enhancement in financial practices, and leading their implementation.
3. Oversee the financial aspects of various projects related to sales audits, including managing system testing for new marketplace transactions and integration with third-party financial institutions to ensure precise financial execution.

Customer Engagement
Act as the primary liaison for sales audit and sales processing inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service in addressing queries and collaborating with Finance Leadership, Retail Operations, and Data Technology.

Compliance and Control
Ensure a comprehensive understanding of industry regulations concerning retail accounting and sales audits, including compliance with escheatment processes and PCI standards. Identify, assess, and develop internal controls and operational policies to guarantee adherence to the company's internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Professional Development
Maintain up-to-date professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and engaging in professional networks and societies.

Team Leadership
Lead the team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, fostering a safe and secure work environment, and ensuring opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for 2+ years in a leadership role.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Experience in leading an accounting team is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Cognos is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
