Overview of the Role:

The primary duty of the housekeeping team is to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of hotel accommodations in a timely manner, guaranteeing that guest rooms are tidy and welcoming. Housekeeping responsibilities include, but are not limited to: daily room preparation, changing bed linens, maintaining linen storage areas, cleaning bathrooms, and sanitizing floors. Housekeepers may also assist maintenance staff when necessary, support front desk operations, aid guests with requests (such as providing ironing boards or cribs), and respond to various inquiries. This role is crucial in providing guests with a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Housekeepers will be accountable for the quality of cleaned rooms, special cleaning projects, and adherence to company policies and procedures related to housekeeping. Excellent customer service is a key expectation for this position.

Job Requirements:
  • Prior experience in hotel housekeeping is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to meet attendance expectations, including a flexible schedule covering days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently and effectively clean guest rooms and common areas utilized by hotel patrons.
  • Safely lift and transport heavy items with the assistance of a hand truck or another person when necessary.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maintain composure and focus in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Value diversity and work collaboratively with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Work independently while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, including frequent stair climbing.
  • Perform repetitive motions such as pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and kneeling.
  • Execute fine motor skills for handling both small and large objects.
  • Communicate clearly and maintain a positive, polite, and cooperative demeanor with colleagues, supervisors, and guests.
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
