OVERVIEW

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness and order in guest rooms and other designated areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To excel in this role, you will be expected to:

  • Prepare housekeeping carts with necessary supplies and linens.
  • Thoroughly clean assigned guest rooms, including making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and disposing of waste.
  • Replace and restock bed linens, towels, and other guest amenities as required.
  • Attend to additional areas as assigned, such as restrooms, public spaces, offices, and meeting rooms.
  • Report any maintenance issues or missing items to management promptly.
  • Address guest requests and concerns with professionalism to ensure satisfaction.
  • Document and return any guest belongings found in rooms or public areas.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to receive daily assignments.
  • Conduct deep cleaning tasks as necessary.
  • Perform evening turn-down service when required.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Complete all assigned tasks within the designated time frames.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
  • Understanding of housekeeping and laundry processes.
  • Familiarity with the safe use and storage of cleaning products.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment such as vacuums and commercial laundry machines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks.
  • Genuine concern for the well-being of guests and colleagues.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in hospitality housekeeping is advantageous.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

No specific licenses or certifications are required.

ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The role requires physical stamina, including standing and walking for extended periods. You may need to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The work environment is primarily indoors, with exposure to various noise levels and cleaning chemicals.

OTHER

Housekeepers must be flexible with their schedules to meet the operational needs of the hotel, which may include working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Consistent attendance is crucial for success in this role.
