Key Responsibilities:

  • Parts Delivery: Ensure timely and efficient delivery of parts to technicians.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain organized and adequately stocked areas within the parts department.
  • Vehicle Handling: Assist in moving vehicles within the service area and deliver cars to other facilities for specialized repairs.
  • Guest Transportation: Provide transportation services for guests visiting the dealership for service.
  • Parts Collection: Collect and deliver parts to designated accounts as directed by the service or parts departments.
  • Bank Transactions: Complete daily bank deposits reliably.
  • Mail Services: Deliver outgoing mail to the post office each evening.
  • Title and Supply Management: Verify daily with the office regarding title submissions and supply pickups.
  • Department Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness in the parts department by disposing of waste and keeping the area tidy.
  • Core Shipping: Prepare all cores for return shipment to the manufacturer when parts are replaced.
  • Detail Support: Assist the detailing department with vehicle washing when needed.
  • Vehicle Assistance: Help push vehicles into the shop when they are unable to start.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a parts or service department is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift and carry heavy parts (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Time Management: Strong skills in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with technicians, service advisors, and guests.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in parts delivery and inventory management.
  • Dependability: Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Customer Service: Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve issues.
