Key Responsibilities

This role, situated within the Server & Storage Team, will report to the Server & Storage Supervisor and will focus on providing technical leadership for essential IT systems that support our tax collection infrastructure.

Identity and Access Management Duties:

  • Implement, test, and maintain the department's Domain Services, including Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Administer AD Domain Services across various domains.
  • Act as a Domain Administrator, overseeing critical tasks related to AD management.
  • Monitor and resolve AD replication issues.
  • Manage alerts related to Domain Controllers through SCOM.
  • Oversee DHCP and DNS services to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular checks on server disk space for Domain Controllers and DHCP servers.
  • Ensure proper placement of servers and workstations, reporting any discrepancies to the IAM Senior Specialist.
  • Apply necessary patches to Domain Controllers and update DNS entries as required.
  • Manage DHCP scopes effectively.

Systems Administration Responsibilities:

  • Install, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure and systems to align with departmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical administration for mission-critical systems.
  • Support the computing environment of the Department of Revenue, ensuring security and compliance with established standards.
  • Monitor all IAM systems for vulnerabilities and ensure timely patching.
  • Collaborate with WaTech staff and DOR teams to address business needs.
  • Coordinate with technical experts for implementing necessary changes.
  • Administer print services effectively.

Issue Tracking Responsibilities:

  • Review and prioritize tickets assigned to Network Services staff.
  • Ensure tickets contain sufficient information for resolution by technicians.
  • Work closely with supervisors to address and resolve ticket issues.

Work Arrangement

This position offers a telework option, with occasional in-office reporting as needed.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, combined with 4 years of experience in File and Printer server administration, Email administration, and Identity and Access Management. Additionally, one year of experience in scripting and workflow creation, modification, and troubleshooting is required.
