Position Overview
The Field Compliance Specialist (FCS) plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to property program regulations by facilitating certifications, preparing for audits, and offering support to site personnel. This position may also entail filling in for vacant roles during transitional periods. The FCS will collaborate closely with the Regional Compliance Manager and Compliance Director, as well as onsite teams and Portfolio Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the timely execution of certification processes and audit readiness
- Conduct interviews with applicants and residents, ensuring accurate collection of eligibility documentation
- Maintain effective communication with onsite personnel, Portfolio Managers, and the Compliance team
- Provide support during property transitions and construction initiatives
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in affordable program compliance
- Familiarity with affordable housing programs and regulatory requirements
- Preferred certification in Affordable Housing/Tax Credit
- Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Proficient in English and basic computer operations
