Senior Accountant
Job Overview
We invite you to become a vital member of our team as a Senior Accountant, where you will significantly contribute to our financial operations. Your role will encompass essential month-end closing activities, ensuring precise and prompt accounts payable reporting. You will collaborate with various departments to address accounting challenges and promote enhancements. Additionally, you will oversee cash entry and accounts payable functions while engaging in system improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Month-End Closing:
Execute critical month-end closing tasks to guarantee accuracy and punctuality.

Flux Analysis:
Conduct month-end Balance Sheet and Income Statement flux analysis.

Reporting & Analysis:
Generate monthly management reports and analyses.

Accounts Payable:
Serve as a backup for the US Accounts Payable and bill entry processes.

Vendor Communication:
Resolve invoice, purchase order, and payment issues with vendors escalated from the AP team.

Process Improvement:
Assess and enhance accounts payable processes.

Reconciliations:
Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts.

Cash Entries:
Create cash journal entries and assist with bank reconciliations.

Audit Support:
Provide necessary documentation for audits and quarterly reviews.

Process Documentation:
Evaluate, document, and implement process enhancements.
Qualifications

Required:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
4-6 years of experience in General Accounting and Accounts Payable.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Outstanding organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred:
2+ years of experience in a rapidly expanding technology company.
Experience with month-end closing and accounts payable processes.
Proficiency in NetSuite, FloQast, or other ERP systems.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Initial Goals

First 30 Days:
Acquaint yourself with the NetSuite environment, general ledger accounts, and month-end closing processes.
Understand the team structure and month-end closing procedures.
Learn the purchase order/accounts payable reporting workflows.

First 90 Days:
Independently prepare month-end closing journal entries for assigned areas and related reconciliations.

Compensation:
Base Salary Range $90,000 - $115,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Equity
