Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver accounting and advisory services to a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals and businesses across various sectors.
- Execute general accounting tasks, including transaction entry and reconciliation of general ledger, credit card, and cash accounts; propose and document journal entries.
- Conduct intricate adjustments and reconciliations on financial records; perform clean-up of accounting systems and documentation.
- Leverage accounting software and systems to generate financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP.
- Design and implement accounting systems and services for new clients.
- Administer payroll and payroll tax submissions; prepare and file sales tax returns, and manage fixed assets and personal property records.
- Utilize extensive industry knowledge and research skills to deliver high-level service on complex assignments.
- Conduct proactive risk assessments and compliance evaluations, offering best practice recommendations to clients.
- Supervise and review the work of entry-level staff.
- Oversee personal and team projects, balancing competing priorities to ensure timely project completion and adherence to deadlines.
- Build and nurture relationships with clients to gain insights into their financial situations and business operations.
- Analyze financial reports provided by clients and within accounting software.
- Recommend and document journal entries for business clients.
- Enhance knowledge of tax regulations and accounting practices to better address our clients' needs.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally across multiple clients and industries.
- Exceptional accuracy and technical proficiency, with a solid understanding of client industries.
- Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and robust analytical capabilities.
- Proficient in accounting software and systems, with a quick learning ability for new technologies.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive in problem-solving and project management.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
