Communications Marketing Coordinator

40 hours/week – Exempt

Lyngblomsten is looking for a Communications Marketing Coordinator. This role involves creating and disseminating a range of materials through both traditional and digital communication channels, aimed at advancing Lyngblomsten's marketing and communication goals. The position combines elements of digital marketing and content creation.

The Marketing Communications team functions as an internal design agency for Lyngblomsten. We strive to fulfill our mission of enhancing the lives of older adults by delivering high-quality, relevant work—whether in print, digital, video, or other formats. Additionally, our department is tasked with promoting Lyngblomsten's reputation through strategic public relations, clear communication with constituents, and effective brand management.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Communications Marketing Coordinator include a variety of digital marketing and content creation tasks, such as:

  • Assisting in the development, execution, management, and monitoring of digital marketing initiatives, particularly social media, email campaigns, and digital advertisements.
  • Maintaining and optimizing Lyngblomsten's website and online presence.
  • Capturing photographs and preparing them for both print and digital applications.
  • Generating ideas and crafting content (e.g., articles, web and brochure copy, fundraising materials, press releases, social media updates) for Lyngblomsten's communication platforms.
  • Conducting research and formulating interview questions in preparation for writing assignments; performing interviews and verifying facts.
  • Proofreading and editing the work of others, ensuring adherence to brand and style guidelines.
  • Collaborating effectively within a team and maintaining regular communication with project stakeholders to ensure deliverables align with project objectives, specifications, and timelines.
  • Occasionally working evenings and weekends as required.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, digital media, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Familiarity with tools for website content management, social media management, and customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Understanding of SEO/SEM best practices and trends, with experience optimizing web content accordingly.
  • Experience in designing, testing, and deploying emails as part of marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing, spelling, and proofreading abilities.
  • A strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience with digital analytics and online advertising is a plus.
  • Experience in photography for publications using a DSLR camera is advantageous.
  • Experience in capturing and editing video content for marketing purposes is a plus.
  • Graphic design and pre-press experience is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in working on a PC platform (Windows Suite and Adobe Creative Suite).
