About the Role

The Digital and Social Media Manager will be a key member of the driven, forward-thinking Marketing team at The Salvation Army Central Territory, engaging in supportive, constructive, and genuine work to forward the Mission of The Salvation Army.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Support the Mission of The Salvation Army by treating every client, donor, and colleague with respect and dignity, and without discrimination of any kind.
  • Engage community members in a way that brings them to the Corps for programming, events, activities, and Pathway of Hope.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop, execute, and track online marketing strategies to drive engagement and online donations through customer acquisition, email strategy, social strategy, and digital ad buy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director and other marketing and development staff to drive customer engagement and coordinated marketing plans, strategic promotional campaigns, a consistent brand voice, and use of marketing automation technology.
  • Manage multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) and develop creative content and disseminate targeted communications through a variety of channels.
  • Track and analyze marketing and communications performance, and provide onsite assistance at events, social media posting, on-site interviews, video posting, and photography.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, creative writing, English, or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of experience in executing and monitoring SEO and PPC strategy.
  • Quality assurance experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be team-oriented and willing to take on whatever is needed for the team to succeed.
  • Strong ability to address issues that arise with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Consistently engage in open, direct, supportive, and constructive communication.
  • Remain current in a constantly changing industry and frequently recommend new areas of growth and opportunity.
  • Good written communication skills, content writing, and technical writing a plus.
  • Must have a deep understanding of current SEO/SEM practices and familiarity with the elements required for success.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
  • Excellent understanding of Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Social Media Marketing.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must pass The Salvation Army background checks and meet the MVR driver's qualifications.
  • Willingness to support the philosophy, goals, objectives, and mission of The Salvation Army.
