Exciting opportunity for a Head of Human Resources.
The Head of Human Resources will collaborate closely with executive leadership to craft, execute, and enhance effective workforce strategies that align with organizational goals. This role encompasses the comprehensive management of the HR department, including but not limited to employee relations, talent engagement, professional development, leave management, and recruitment processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in human resources, particularly in leadership roles, and will be adept at formulating and executing HR policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a proactive approach to emerging HR challenges through regular engagement with managers and team members across various sectors.
- Address internal employee inquiries, concerns, and investigations with professionalism.
- Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, providing guidance on employment policies, procedures, and recruitment strategies.
- Support recruitment efforts by crafting job descriptions, extending offers, and facilitating onboarding for new hires.
- Ensure the employee handbook is current and assist in the development and revision of HR policies.
- Conduct wage surveys as necessary to remain competitive.
- Oversee benefits administration and payroll processes, including the annual enrollment cycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Manage unemployment claims and participate in hearings as required, preparing necessary documentation.
- Track and process all workers' compensation claims efficiently.
- Collaborate with management to develop training programs, including OSHA and leadership training.
- Facilitate integration support for new acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition of HR policies and systems.
- Supervise payroll operations to guarantee accuracy and punctuality in payroll activities.
- Lead the strategic planning and optimization of HR information systems to align with organizational objectives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor service level agreements with stakeholders, ensuring data integrity through regular audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Development.
- A minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience in leading and mentoring HR teams.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS tools.
- Ability to conduct detailed data analysis and resolve complex issues creatively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws.
- Familiarity with HR functions, including compensation, benefits, and payroll.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and results.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
