Role Synopsis

The Customer Engagement Associate collaborates with sales, customer service, and engineering teams to fulfill customer requests efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To excel in this role, the individual must effectively manage the following responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with engineering and external sales to assess customer bid specifications for quotations, including reviewing technical drawings.
  • Identify product and service needs in collaboration with customers.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Ensure precise order entry into the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to provide accurate information for managing customer accounts, focusing on timely delivery and order expediting.
  • Assist in document management by confirming customer documentation requirements.
  • Guarantee compliance with export regulations through accurate shipping documentation and understanding of customer export needs.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while interfacing with current and potential customers.
  • Promptly acknowledge and respond to customer inquiries, orders, standard quotations, terms and conditions, and delivery status.
  • Monitor open orders for delivery updates and maintenance.
  • Support the resolution of customer complaints in partnership with the Customer Service Manager.
  • Contribute to the creation of product support materials and promotional content aligned with Sales Department objectives.
  • Oversee and manage special projects as assigned.
QHSE Responsibilities
  • Exhibit a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Implement Control Devices’ Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Safety Management Systems as applicable.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and lead by example to surpass company goals.
Qualifications/Work Experience

Education

Essential
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience/Skills

Essential
  • Up to four (4) years of experience in order entry or customer service.
  • Familiarity with transportation and logistical compliance, including incoterms.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in PC-based software tools, including ERP systems, MS Office, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively engage with diverse skill sets.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficient use of standard office equipment, including telephones and computers with keyboards.
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, steel-toed shoes, and safety glasses.
