Position Overview
As a Lead Human Resources Consultant, you will collaborate with management and staff to deliver expert guidance aimed at enhancing employee relations and facilitating recruitment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an employee advocate, conducting impartial investigations into employee relations issues.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of state and federal employment laws, legislative updates, and legal trends affecting Human Resources and the organization.
- Provide employee relations support in areas such as organizational development, performance management, coaching, and separations.
- Investigate reported incidents, formulating recommendations and conclusions.
- Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary and draft responses as required.
- Oversee background check decisions and ensure timely reviews for pre-employment purposes, acting as the primary liaison with third-party vendors.
- Support HR functions during acquisition integrations.
- Track and analyze employee relations data for reporting and trend analysis.
- Review employment offers for accuracy and ensure equitable compensation across the organization.
- Consult on leave of absence administration and support other HR team members.
- Manage the secondary stage of workers' compensation, including return-to-work programs and claims research.
- Review employment contracts and collaborate with internal or external counsel as needed.
- Understand company benefits plans related to employment separations, retirements, and leaves of absence.
- Respond to inquiries from outsourced unemployment administrators and participate in appeals hearings.
- Track and report on employee relations metrics.
- Partner with management on involuntary separations, conducting risk assessments and ensuring proper approvals.
- Assess HR-related training needs and collaborate with the internal HR team to develop and deliver training programs.
- Guide and advise managers on complex HR issues, mentoring internal HR teams as necessary.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience, with a preference for six (6) years in HR Generalist roles.

Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong presentation skills and the capacity to engage with senior management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training and business needs.
