Job Overview

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Compliance Control Manager to oversee our Compliance Department. This role operates on a 9x80 schedule, providing a unique work-life balance with every Friday off. Opportunities for hybrid work arrangements may be available. Reporting directly to the Department Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team while concentrating on areas of specialized knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the activities of a diverse functional area through both exempt and non-exempt specialists, ensuring adherence to established policies and management directives.
  • Supervise employees engaged in similar or related tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee multiple shifts or departments, including subordinate managers, to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and performance metrics for the unit.
  • Implement strategies to control costs within your section.
  • Administer routine operational plans and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the formulation of departmental goals and long-term objectives.
  • Advise on modifications to sub-unit, unit, or discipline policies.
  • Collaborate with subordinate supervisors and functional peers, requiring clear communication and interpretation of complex information.
  • Facilitate cooperation among team members, presenting technical information related to specific projects.
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in export compliance/control, or a master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • At least two years of leadership or management experience.
  • Proficient understanding of contractual obligations and federal export control regulations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance and SCI, requiring U.S. citizenship.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The anticipated salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $175,000 annually, with a comprehensive pay range from $89,652 to $215,160, determined by factors such as education and relevant experience.

  • This position is designated for testing; candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug screening and periodic testing throughout employment.
