Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the activities of a diverse functional area through both exempt and non-exempt professionals, ensuring adherence to established policies and management directives.
  • Supervise employees engaged in similar or related functions.
  • Possibly oversee multiple shifts or departments along with subordinate managers.
  • Formulate and manage budgets, timelines, and performance metrics for the unit.
  • Implement strategies to control costs within your section.
  • Oversee routine operational strategies.
  • Assist in setting overarching and long-term objectives for the department.
  • Propose modifications to policies at the sub-unit, unit, or discipline level.
  • Collaborate with subordinate supervisors and functional peers, requiring the ability to interpret and convey information to knowledgeable audiences.
  • Facilitate cooperation among team members by presenting technical information related to specific projects.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in export compliance/control, or a Master’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • At least two years of leadership or management experience.
  • Familiarity with contractual obligations and federal export control regulations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance and SCI, necessitating U.S. citizenship.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000 - $175,000 annually, with a comprehensive pay range of $89,652 - $215,160, determined by factors such as education and relevant experience.
