Job Overview

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Work Control Manager to oversee our Work Control department. This role operates on a 4x10 schedule, providing a unique work-life balance with every Friday off. All responsibilities will be conducted onsite. You will be in charge of orchestrating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance operations at our Central Facilities, reporting directly to the Site Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure seamless integration of Environmental, Safety, Health & Quality (ESH&Q), Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance policies into the work planning and control framework. Foster worker engagement, hazard identification, mitigation strategies, and continuous improvement within the work control process.
  • Design and oversee planner training programs, professional development initiatives, performance objectives, and succession planning for personnel. Manage the maintenance program for the Central Facilities Programs Maintenance Department as outlined in INL protocols.
  • Establish relevant performance metrics for the organization. Track performance trends and implement corrective actions for any negative indicators. Coordinate maintenance planning efforts to support customer needs.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff in accordance with established policies and management directives. Collaborate with subordinate supervisors and functional peers.
  • Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and performance benchmarks for the unit. Take necessary actions to control costs associated with the section.
  • Receive assignments based on incremental objectives and established processes. Assist in formulating both short-term and long-term departmental goals.
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, an advanced degree with 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • This position necessitates the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Compensation Information:
  • The target salary range for this position is $100,540 - $155,973 annually, with a full pay range of $89,652 - $215,160. Compensation decisions at Idaho National Laboratory are based on factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and contributing to an inclusive workplace is required.
  • This role is designated as a testing position; candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and periodic testing throughout their employment.
