Community Engagement Specialist

Role Summary:
Harvard Square by Cogir is seeking a motivated and empathetic Community Engagement Specialist who possesses a background in relationship-based sales and a genuine passion for supporting seniors and their families. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a positive living environment.
As a Community Engagement Specialist (Move-In Coordinator), your primary responsibility will be to facilitate a seamless transition for new residents into our community. You will need to be well-versed in the offerings of the property to effectively communicate with potential residents and their families, ensuring a smooth and pleasant move-in experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Community Relations Director in developing strategies to attract and manage leads while enhancing community occupancy.
- Evaluate prospective residents, schedule tours, and convert tours into deposits through effective sales techniques.
- Manage all incoming inquiries via phone, in-person visits, and mail, ensuring accurate data entry into our sales and marketing systems.
- Conduct community tours and provide informative marketing materials to potential residents and their families.
- Assist in preparing regular and special sales reports as requested by the Community Marketing Directors.
- Follow up with all interested parties, including potential residents and referral sources.
- Help prepare necessary documentation for successful resident move-ins.
- Support residents and their families in adjusting to the community during and after the move-in process.
- Maintain accurate records in the community's Customer Relationship Management software (Yardi).
- Foster strong relationships among residents, staff, and department heads to ensure high levels of resident satisfaction.
- Understand community care regulations to provide accurate information to prospects.
- Assist in organizing and executing special events.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience of at least 1 year in sales and marketing within retirement housing, hospitality, or healthcare.
- A collaborative team player with a strong commitment to serving seniors.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Proficient in various computer applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience in Assisted Living (AL), Independent Living (IL), or Senior Living is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Yardi or similar CRM systems is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate Degree or higher is preferred.
