Role Summary:

Harvard Square by Cogir is seeking a motivated and empathetic Community Engagement Specialist who possesses a background in relationship-based sales and a genuine passion for supporting seniors and their families. As a Community Engagement Specialist (Move-In Coordinator), your primary responsibility will be to facilitate a seamless transition for new residents into our community. You will need to be well-versed in the offerings of the property to effectively communicate with potential residents and their families, ensuring a smooth and pleasant move-in experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Community Relations Director in developing strategies to attract and manage leads while enhancing community occupancy.
  • Evaluate prospective residents, schedule tours, and convert tours into deposits through effective sales techniques.
  • Manage all incoming inquiries via phone, in-person visits, and mail, ensuring accurate data entry into our sales and marketing systems.
  • Conduct community tours and provide informative marketing materials to potential residents and their families.
  • Assist in preparing regular and special sales reports as requested by the Community Marketing Directors.
  • Follow up with all interested parties, including potential residents and referral sources.
  • Help prepare necessary documentation for successful resident move-ins.
  • Support residents and their families in adjusting to the community during and after the move-in process.
  • Maintain accurate records in the community's Customer Relationship Management software (Yardi).
  • Foster strong relationships among residents, staff, and department heads to ensure high levels of resident satisfaction.
  • Understand community care regulations to provide accurate information to prospects.
  • Assist in organizing and executing special events.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience of at least 1 year in sales and marketing within retirement housing, hospitality, or healthcare.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong commitment to serving seniors.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Proficient in various computer applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in Assisted Living (AL), Independent Living (IL), or Senior Living is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Yardi or similar CRM systems is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate Degree or higher is preferred.
