POSITION SUMMARY:

Penn State Harrisburg is looking for candidates for the role of an Educational Program Coordinator.

The Educational Program Coordinator is responsible for identifying, designing, implementing, managing, and assessing a range of educational initiatives from inception to evaluation. This role provides leadership, consultation, program coordination, technical support, and related services in the education and training sector. The coordinator evaluates and formulates recommendations for existing and proposed programs, while also fostering relationships with academic departments, organizations, industries, and agencies to ascertain programming requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities within the Office of Continuing Education, with a specific emphasis on the Career Studies Program.
  • Oversee instructional methods, curriculum development, peer mentorship, and student engagement for the Career Studies Program.
  • Collaborate closely with students, parents, faculty, and staff to provide direct support and ensure a high-quality educational experience.
  • Facilitate career exploration, practical work experiences, and social enrichment opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities.
  • Promote the mission of the Career Studies Program to provide inclusive post-secondary education and career pathways.
  • Organize and support additional continuing education events and programs as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities May Include:
  • Identifying, developing, managing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs and associated materials; consulting and assessing client needs.
  • Establishing curriculum objectives, goals, and evaluation tools; analyzing and assessing program outcomes.
  • Creating course materials, including publications, web content, and presentations.
  • Reviewing and ensuring program compliance.
  • Developing and executing marketing strategies for educational programs and services.
  • Planning and managing budgets for programs and services to meet designated income and program targets; identifying and pursuing funding opportunities.
  • Generating and preparing reports; gathering and analyzing data to make data-informed recommendations.
  • Building, developing, and maintaining relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and businesses at both local and national levels.
  • Identifying and recruiting instructional program personnel.
  • Drafting proposals and negotiating contracts; administering program grants.
  • May supervise staff members, including hiring, development, and performance management.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree; Minimum Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position is:

$51,000.00 - $74,000.00
