Job Overview

Union Beer Distributors is seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Sales Associate to enhance, promote, and expand our diverse portfolio in the highly competitive market of NYC. We specialize in a variety of craft, import, and domestic beers. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and nurture effective relationships with accounts to promote company goodwill.
  2. Represent our esteemed brands in a vibrant market.
  3. Enhance brand visibility within existing accounts.
  4. Ensure proper merchandising with permanent and temporary point-of-sale materials.
  5. Manage accounts receivable collections in compliance with state regulations.
  6. Identify and develop new accounts to expand our distribution network.
  7. Address customer inquiries related to credit, delivery, product information, and other concerns.
  8. Execute monthly and quarterly business priorities.
  9. Build relationships with account personnel and supplier teams to enhance customer service.
  10. Support the Marketing Team in implementing brand development initiatives and placing promotional materials.
  11. Maintain product freshness as required.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to comply with federal and state regulations.
  • A passion for beer and exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • A valid NYS driver's license is required; access to a vehicle is necessary for most sales routes.
  • No prior experience is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items regularly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable using technology.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a solicitor's license.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English; bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus but not required.
